What is intertextual.bible?

Have you ever wondered about the significance of the Dead Sea Scrolls? Have you ever noticed that the Gospels and the Talmud share so many of the same parables? What about the similarities between the Genesis creation accounts and earlier Ancient Near Eastern? Why does Jude quote the pseudepigraphal book of 1 Enoch? What about all of these other strange books that you may have heard of, but aren’t sure what to do with or what their relationships are to the text we’re more familiar with?

While we may not be able to answer every question, we are dedicated to exploring these diverse yet connected families of literature while incorporating a broad range of scholarship representing Jewish, Christian, non-confessional, and other perspectives.
